The eyewear fashion at Silmo Paris in the 90´s was just as eclectic as the fashion in general during this decade. We are being introduced to the ”nerd”. We start wearing quite clean designs and much smaller glasses than before. And the end of the decade presents the ”Matrix” frame.
At Silmo in Paris, all this could be experienced. As a next step to celebrate good eyewear design, the Silmo D´Or Award was presented for the first time in 1994. Ever since, brands can compete in various categories for the prestigious award.
